Race, Ethnicity, and American Views of Immigration and Diversity

The links brought about by globalisation make stories about immigration and diversity more complicated. National security is changing, becoming more politicised, and being related to identity in the US, which is also more racially diverse than ever. How do various groups view diversity and immigration in this situation? The Chicago Council on Global Affairs and the New America Foundation have teamed up to conduct ground-breaking research on the perspectives of Black, Asian, Hispanic, and Native Americans as part of the 2022 Chicago Council Survey in order to better comprehend these linkages.

Asian Americans (66%) and Hispanic Americans (61%) are the most likely to agree, even while a slim majority of all Americans (53%) believe that increased diversity makes the nation a better place to live.
